Ray Gomez! I saw them perfom Schoold Days live in Sacramento, CA many years ago. I believe Gomez was the very best choice as a guitarist for this project. I think he's living in Spain or UK now.

This is the song and album that made me wanted to play the bass! In the liner notes of Stanley Clarke's 1988 album, "If This Bass Could Only Talk", he stated that "if anyone is serious about learning to play the bass, they need to pick up the "School Days" album and learn to play the title track." I learned this on a custom-made baritone guitar (I just used thick guage strings for E and A). I succeeded with blistering fingers-LOL. Stanley is one of the most influential bassists!

Bought the album in the late 70s and all I could say was WOW. Now listening to it in 2012 all I can say is WOW. After all these years it still retains....the music goes beyond masterpiece.
