Greensleeves came first; the song "What Child is This" was set to the Greensleeves melody.

I cant listen to this music without seeing snow falling and swirling and blowing in drifts in my mind. Beautiful!

@RubyLeo2006 No, this is "Greensleeves". But I can see why you'd be confused, because "Greensleeves" came first, & "What Child Is This" had the melody. But I know this is "Greensleeves", because you can note small differences between the two during the beginning.

@johnwhite79 look at hollywood....they do it all the time to books. (and as of late, previously released motion pictures). i think its because people cant think for themselves anymore.

oes anybody here realize that Greensleeves goes back to fifteenth century England? "What Child..." is a direct melody lift.
Greensleeves = What Child Is This. They are one and the same. Love.

@RubyLeo2006 I don't have time to go into it now, but please go to Amazon and looking at the CD listing of these songs. :) This is Mr. Guaraldi's "Greensleeves", the CBS Recording of this album. Take care.
