What happened was that David Geffen split Donna, producer Giorgio Moroder and writer Pete Belotte up when they did the album "I'm a Rainbow" which Geffen didn't like and never was released but bootlegs were found and some tracks were on the Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Instead, Geffen paired him with Quincy Jones which didn't work. At the same, Donna became a born-again Christian and a incident happened where she was accused of making of homophobic comment to a fan after a concert.

Donna Summer is one of my Favorite Singer.

I wish she had the right people behind her,

because she did not have as much fame in the US as she should. But then again maybe Fame is not all that. She will always have her voice and Lots of talents.
