Zach Wahls, a 19-year-old University of Iowa student spoke about the strength of his family during a public forum on House Joint Resolution 6 in the Iowa House of Representatives. Wahls has two mothers, and came to oppose House Joint Resolution 6 which would end civil unions in Iowa.

    - An individual instance of something doesn't constitute proof of the same structure on a large scale. If a vegetarian diet agrees with one person's stomach it doesn't prove that it will agree with everyone's stomach (especially if humans are scientifically demonstrable omnivorous animals). His testimony doesn't really demonstrate anything other than particular facts about himself.
