You did a great job on this. I always thought in an odd love/hate kind of way Spike was always Angel's best friend. There were so many times they could have easily dusted each other, but never did. Or maybe they are both just masochists and they like the abuse they receive from one another by being a mirror image of the qualities they loathe about themselves from their past. Either way, it's an interesting dynamic for two fictional characters.
