Finally she drives away and into the snow. Good oil pressure, no check engine lights and she fired right up, I'm very happy for this and look forward to working on something else.

Stay dirty

  • @bagitup247 You can't do what I do and take it personal, if you do you're done for. Thanks for the comment.

  • hey eric. i think u have been an insperation 2 me. i am currently swaping my 4.7 in my 2000 jeep grand cherokee and your videos helped me keep trying and it worked . i just got my old one undone dec 04 2011.

  • @monoxygen2012 I love hearing stuff like that, I'm glad my videos inspire you. Thanks for the comment.

  • I'm going to have to get a engine for my 96 Ram 1500, I fixed my moms car recently, it had a bad head gasket, I'm relatively new to working on engines, but I find a lot of times browsing youtube for information helps a lot, as well as using common sense and a repair manual doesn't hurt, I found it pretty easy so far. I personally would like to get my hands into the guts of a engine, I find them so fascinating .

  • @mattcasdorph It sounds like you like to get dirty, I like that. Thanks for the comment.

  • I've been watching your videos recently and you've given some really good advice. I plan to become a mechanic soon and I'll be sure to take what you've said in your videos with me into the shop.

  • @EricTheCarGuy Eric, you inspired me to do an engine swap in my 94 accord. Not to mention im 15!! haha, i really love your vids man keep them up. I also did a head gasket repair twice :) keep it up eric

  • You are another proof that man is definitely superior to the machine.

  • Noo, I glanced at the description and there lies the summary of the video while I was waiting for it to load... :(

  • hey eric not bad, i swapped the engine in my 02 durango for a senior project, had a 4.7 in it and i saw ur vids thought id take a look, you do a decent job of explainin things on it and showing whats wrong and stuff. but i must say.. the only thing i had a problem with doing mine is the motor mounts... what a PAIN! lol but it was fun i was jst curious.. on a scale from one to ten.. how hard was this engine swap?? excluding the bad engine the 1st few times haha

  • Its never the machines that frustrates you though, its the people. Customers, coworkers or suppliers.

  • This engine isnt worth the trouble.I am trying to get rid of my Ram.My 4.7 liter uses oil 118 xxx miles on it.2000 miles between changes almnost 2 quarts low.New pcv ,thermostat.throttle position sensor.Been researching the wall are thin on these blocks. They dont cool properly either.IM not a mechanic but warning anyone stay away from them matter of fact just go with a chevy or a ford gas engine.
