From the videogame known as Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, this is the secret project video for The Network Backbone.

Secret project details:
Cost: 400
Prerequisite Technology: Digital Sentience
Effect: +1 research at this base for every point of Commerce this base receives, and +1 research for every Network Node in existence on Alpha Centauri, regardless of the player owning the Network Node. Eliminates the negative effects of Cybernetic Society.

"Of course we'll bundle our MorganNet software with the new network nodes; our customers expect no less of us. We have never sought to become a monopoly. Our products are simply so good that no one feels the need to compete with us."
-- CEO Nwabudike Morgan, Morgan Data Systems press release

Sounds like the confession of a monopolist if ever I heard one.

  • lol. YOU REASEARCHED TEH INTRANET.

You'd think that would already be made. and not a secret project

  • I always build this thing, regardless of wheter I'm using Cybernetic or not, just because of the music that accompanies it ;)

  • @DecoySCV Meh, he's kinda cool

  • One of the most important projects to get if you want to use Cybernetic Society, You will shoot to the top with the negative support removed.

  • @woodwyrm Well, it takes time and minerals to build them. Playing as UoP you rarely are in position where you can afford such build-up in early game. Making you STILL perfect target xP

  • @Myrth1 bah, as soon as you research planetary networks any UoP player worth his salt will be pumpin out at least two drone teams/base! >:P

    WHERE'S YOUR TECHTHEFT NAO?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?

  • @DecoySCV

But he and lal are the only ones who aren't stuck in a pipe dream!

  • lol this is awesome
