December 2011 Iowa Caucuses Television Ad

For the two and a half weeks leading up to the Iowa Caucuses, NumbersUSA is running this ad across the state to urge the Presidential Hopefuls to take a position on legal immigration. More than 20 million Americans can't find a full-time job, but Washington will bring in another 1 million legal, working-age immigrants next year. Who should have first crack at new jobs: unemployed Americans or 1 million new legal immigrants?

Not only are we taking an excessive number of immigrants, we are welcoming hundreds of thousands who will pay very little in yearly income taxes. We have become a dumping ground for the undereducated and impoverished from Latin America.

Why do we continue to grow our population? The fertility rate for American citizens, has been at or below replacement for 40+ years. Yet, our population has doubled. All that growth, has been from immigrants, legal and illegal, and the children, thereof. We all have to compete with these people, for resources. Water, healthcare, wages, etc. Illegal immigration doesn't need to stop. It needs to be reserved! Legal immigration needs to be cut by about 90%, and made HIGHLY selective.

On one hand the left wants no borders, wants all illegals to be registered Democrats and refuses to curtail unbridled legal immigration. They also want to use less energy. resources, water? Seems the 2 are at odds. We would have been better off with a much smaller population where people owned land and were semi self reliant but those types of people do not vote Democrat, not what the Democratic party has become... a socialist progressive sty.

There so many illegal aliens in this country, so many citizens jobless & losing everything they ever worked for, & now we should add/bring more into this nation? What is the matter with you? Get the ILLEGALS OUT, get AMERICANS back to WORK, & then think about adding to the population of America! ILLEGAL.= CRIMINAL. Criminals are punished. Ask any criminal in jail or prison. No one is faulting the immigrants that came through the door of this country the proper way. The illegal immigrants are the law breakers our leaders have chosen to close a blind eye to. This is what is wrong with society today! No one seems to know Right from Wrong anymore! The illegals broke into our country/home. I suppose it would be ok if I wanted a better home I break into a house & said "I'm here, too bad you have to like it!" OR I want a new car, I break into the dealership and take one!

@Ambassador45 Legal "immigrants" are also a problem when the USA does not have enough jobs for it's won citizens. I put "immigrants" in quotes because, for some reason, it has become very fashionable to confuse visa workers with true immigrants.
