  • looks like cheats to me. the buildings are all placed in relationchip to each other and in pairs n stuff.

    looks nice tho

  • @katodmx007 Thanks for the comment.

Unfortunately, there are no cheats to create what is seen in this video. Whether creating a downtown with all of the best buildings or creating a building complex with more than one of the same building, the method is the same. So, I will post a comment on how-to create building complexes. Also, you can watch my "Early Downtown" video, then come back to this video to see how this city has progressed over time.

  • @katodmx007 Thanks for the comment.

    How to create building complexes:

To build housing projects, I zone the same size lots (holding CTRL while zoning) and face them the way I want. I only build on one "building style" at a time (checking only one box in the "build style" option). I delete buildings that grow that aren't the building I want and once I get the right building, I "historical" the building (clicking on the building with the query tool and checking the "make historical" box).

  • holy mother, how did you get so many rich people in your city? did you change your tax??

  • @fdjw88 Thanks for the question.

I tax low wealth residential at 9.0%, medium wealth residential at 8.5%, and high wealth residential at 8.0%.

Besides having high wealth jobs and good commute times, the key to a lot of high wealth sims is to max out health, saftey and education, and to zone residential lots in highly desirable areas, giving the rich sims a place to develope, like near water, on elevated terrain (hills, mountains), and/or in areas with a lot of amenities.

  • wats the name of this song

  • @mdog06 Thanks for the question.

The song is called "History Repeats Itself" by A.O.S, which is from the "Natural Born Killers" soundtrack.

  • Can you make a video to help people (like me) to build the skyscrapers

    Thanks

  • your city is so organized amazing 5/5

  • @SimCityEnthusiast what is the life expectance in your city ?

i cant pass 93 years old.

  • Whats the population?

  • @SimCityEnthusiast - I'm having problems with High Wealth Residents always when my population reaches like 50K. Somewhat some High Wealth Residents have no jobs and also they are annoying since they can easily be abandoned.

  • this is deluxe or rush hour edition ?

  • OMG thats Frankfurt in the future o.O

  • Beautiful.

  • @sega31098 hahahahaha, i know what you're saying mate, but really, they will never use the public transportation, no matter how hard you try, they are very posh in this game, even if you make long tracks, they won't take the subway or the bus, and in my opinion i know some rich people and they are the same way, they hate taking the bus, but in this case, it is a game and those rich citizens are programed to not take the bus lol so i suggest you build more avenues lmao.

Yes, but this particular bunch is quite stubborn. There's a subway right next to their house and an already clogged road with toll booths, and they still take a longer route. Real life rich people aren't that reluctant to give up the daily car commute to work in return for getting to work earlier.
