The fool card represents the start of a journey, it represents the start of life.
When people begin a journey, they have no experience or awareness of dangers or problems they will face.
Just like in the picture, people will begin by boldly striding forward, attempting to achieve their goals, hopes and dreams. They will not notice holes in the road or steep cliffs.
There is usually a dog near the fool, it represents the world, or consciousness. And it tries to keep the fool safe.
