Part 2 of the last inning of Sal Maglie's no-hitter for the Brooklyn Dodgers over the Philadelphia Phillies from September 25, 1956 as broadcast on radio with Jerry Doggett and Vin Scully doing the play-by-play. This was recorded off-air by a local DJ in Connecticut who was waiting for the game to end before his air shift.
Having grown up on the East Coast, never really got to listen to a lot of Vin Scully, but I've heard some of his calls over the years, and can fully understand why he's been so revered and so great for so long. He never gets in the way of the game, never forgets about the game. He keeps it simple, and really, the fan who can't be at the game comes away with an unforgettable game experience.

Jerry Doggett was Scully's equal in those days. Now Vin has no equal.
