I know you have signed on as a co-sponsor to the S. 604 and I applaud you for this. I am hoping that you can find some time to elaborate on your position regarding the Federal Reserve and if you believe they are properly transparent to the Congress and ultimately the people. More specifically, do you believe that the Federal Reserve has followed through on its mandates to keep prices stable, maintain full employment, and has provided sufficient oversight of the bankers?
This is the kind of economy we get when we have government and management by CEO. These guys run up the stock price, cash in and then bail from their victim companies, leaving the disaster to happen 2-3 years later. Just note Jack Welch's retirement package from GE. What the bankers are doing is called looting; no pretenses at all of sound banking practices. But thank you Senator Dorgan for your efforts. It gives people hope that change can occur.
Corporate compensation is the domain of the shareholders. It is not up to the government (public sector) to dictate what can be or cannot not paid........ That is, unless one is talking about Socialism - combined with, of course, salacious class envy. Da Komrade!
You know Socialism..............., it's what the Maobama "presidency" and all its cronies (Hi Dorgan) are ruthlessly all about as they galavant around the country and world at mega taxpayer expense. It's your money, Mr. Taxpayer
2 weeks ago I realized that even I do not understand, know yet history of Communism - Stalin did to Communims what greed rich people and fascists have done for Capitalism - for 100 years at year 2013. Socializing EVERYTHING for themself. Stalin was Communist who later wasn't any more communist - because he didn't run USSR according the basic principles of Communist manifesto (I have to read this book in order to undertand communism).
