So u r from Aussie lands LOL nice enough huh =] both bands are widely popular here, Jars maybe only in the Christian realm, but Six is also pop out there, but still they would find huge crowds of people there if they ever come to put a concert. I arrived today in Brazil. I miss the States. Hope one day I'll visit AUS. Hugs.
Wow, we are making this commentary section into a huge discussion. Haha, Australia's pretty weird when it comes to the weather. We are popular with the term "Four Seasons in One Day." Jars Of Clay got quite the promotion early this year and I think they actually came in order to support a Christian Music festival with plenty of other bands. It was the first time I've heard of them (despite their release Good Monsters, which was also promoted by the Christian Music Radio.
I like the carol, but also think that, despite Six, having recorded this for the second time, being the latter better than their 1st rendition, I think that Dan kinda saved this from being another 'ok' project, just cuz Six is so good, but well, Dan´s verses made all the difference and it is a wonderful story huh?
lol! I keep on trying to say this in the comments but I always forget to mention it (plus the limited space). Before I get onto the overload this video with messages from me, Dan's twirl = Memorable.
yeah it is amazing, I think they do have to concentrate a lot, did u think that both were out of tune a little bit in that video? I think, but knowing that they are still human and can mess things up sometimes makes it all alrite.
yeah I had a lot of fun, jars is my fave band and six is right on top close below them =] I could say that the two of them together are my fave bands, besides hanson. I am Brazilian you know, I just got home (Brazil), I live in Illinois. Next month we have a huge fans meeting (Sixpence), but also Jars and Hanson fans will be there to support Jars of Clay Blood Water Mission project and Take the Walk Hanson project. =] Did you see also the Silent Night video:
I saw the Silent Night video too. It's amazing how Dan comes up with those verses and sings along. It recreates Silent Night who we all know has been covered and heard a ga-ziilion times. Though in itself isn't such a bad carol.
I wish I could say that Sixpence and Jars are well known here in Australia, but they aren't. Sixpence disappeared I literally had to track them down after There She Goes. While Jars aren't really popular either. But they regularly played with the Christian Music Radio.
Haha, I'm rambling on. I had to edit a lot of stuff out with my last comment. I think it's brilliant that you people have a fan meeting! Sounds enjoyable! And I think it's honourable that artists such as Hanson. Jars of Clay and Sixpence None The Richer go out of their way to support such great causes. I haven't really heard much of Jars, cause I'm a huge Sixpence fan. But "Hibernation Day" as a Christmas song? That's really cute and inventive and I like it. :)
Yeah! I am most excited for that meeting, I am going to travel some miles away for that meeting, I know that after the "walk for the water", we will also have a good time playing songs, taking pictures, having food etc. I love all 3 bands and I'll get along well with any groups of fans that may show up. Yeah Hibernation day is wonderful. As I told you, the original studio version with Christine Dente is perfect, but Leigh is Leigh and we love her so much. ^^
you´re going to have to read 3 more comments below here, they are addressed to you, but I did not hit 'reply', well, you'll see I am talking to you in those comments.
If you'll give me an email address, I´ll mail you my picture with Leigh Nash.
