@ShriShamit Hi Shri, i didn't talk about improvisation, i am talking only about the mood of the song.. sad song with drum beats of MJ songs can also be played, but it will ruin the whole texture of song.

@khurramicma the song "laga chunari mein daag" from the movie dil hi to hai, I guess you know how deep and dark this song is. The song is based on raga bhairavi but the music arrangement and choreography is totally jovial. Music is supposed to set you free you defeat that spirit by being rigid about how it should be and should not be practiced.

Seems like people have made up there mind that coke studio @mtv sucks and no matter who is singing, what the song is about, what is the mood they want to set they just have to post their "expert" comments.
