  • Hello I would like to purschase your pilot learning dvds but there a little pricey I had a nice lady from kingschools calling to offer me a discount but couldn't do it at the time would this still be avaliable and if so who do I contact thank you

  • Call us at 1-800-854-1001--we'd love to hear from you. Not only do we have specials from time to time, but we have many pilots and flight instructors (CFI's) on staff who can give you guidance which courses to take (we have over 90) and which combo saves you the most money.

  • How do you enter the holding pattern?

  • Dear steve29112,

The simple answer is to: 1. Fly to the holding fix. 2. Make a turn to fly the prescribed holding pattern.

Detailed instruction on how to draw a holding pattern, which direction to turn to make the entry, how large a holding pattern should be, and much, much more can be found in our King Instrument Rating Interactive Knowledge Test Course.

Thanks for asking and safe flying.

  • thank its useful

  • Do you have any videos for JAA rules in Europe?

  • EXAir113, not exactly if you have a significant wind, in that case in the downwind leg you'll fly a greater distance in 1 min than in the upwind leg.

  • No. Wind will often cause your GS to fluctuate and as a result, the pilot will need to adjust accordingly.

  • no you have to correct the windspeed,

  • Not unless your winds are zero allowing for your ground speed to be constant for your entire hold. Which happens pretty much never the inbound leg is the only one supposed to be 1 minute

  • So if the inbound is 1 minute, wouldn't that make the outbound 1 minute aswell?

  • trust me brother, you are NOT alone haha

  • im glad im not the only one who's searching for ways to pass this instrument checkride haha
