thanks, I had some instruction at maker fair, but wasn't really making much progress. this makes a lot more sense, now. i might have to progress past the free cd spindle that we made there, as it can be a bit frustrating.

Drafting is pulling the fiber apart, to put it simply. You're thinning it out to the desired thickness and sort of evening things so your spun yarn is the weight you want it to be.
