casake is an idiot! buy a ford, have worse problems. sounds like an exhaust leak! buy a stethascope, take off the lame rod and put a brake line into it, youll find your leak when u can hear the leak and exhaust in your ears! lol! it works awesome! i work at a shop and do custom exhaust, its the only way to find those shitty nasty noises!

@robbiebobbie111 LMAO

i have a 1986 suburban that does that, and i know where the leak is, but since i dont have a tach(rpm), and it knocks at the same speed the engines turning, im gonna let it leak, and use it as an audible tach

My sequoia isn't to bad it doesn't lose power i took it and had it tested on a Dyno and it doesn't and it only makes the noise when its cold. I am getting the motor rebuilt soon so i wont have the problem any more!

@jaguarnumber9 It got really bad, like to the point of driving down the highway and I could hear it even when the car was hot. so I finally got sick of it and looked up and down the exhaust and found that there was a leak in a union under the cab. I welded it up and it really helped, now it just ticks when cold again. Pretty sure that its the headers so Im just saving up for a full exhaust system.

Yeah, it's the Exhaust manifolds
My Tundra Has the same problem, i found that the left exhaust manifold has a leak in it, and you can clearly see the carbon deposits on the manifold.
I just ordered some Exhaust headers to fix it, and for better performance, they should get here on Friday, and I don't know when they'll be installed.
Shouldn't hurt anything, but it may be causing my check engine light to come on, but it still runs great with 230,000 miles

@eduardosantacruz
will you take a before and after video of it and/or tell me how the new ones work. I am looking at doing the same thing but I have heard mixed reviews about the headers actually fixing the problem.
