John 14:2 Jesus speaks about GOD'S mansions NOT his own, and he said he was going to prepare a place for them YET in John 14:5, Thomas took him LITERALLY, while Jesus was speaking metaphorically, HIS PEOPLE NEVER UNDERSTOOD him.

John 16:25, Jesus PROVES that he had been speaking figuratively NOT literally, and John 14:6 meant ANYONE who followed Jesus, was indirectly following God (John 14:24) like EVERY prophet.
