In German...another great aria suited for his voice. Recorded in Berlin, 1935.

  • Sublime!!! Hace años que estaba buscando esta versión, muchísimas gracias!!!

  • @MrTanguerodeley Da nada! Glad you enjoyed his wonderful singing!

  • Very beautiful.

  • @SieurPlanchet Thank you for listening!

  • If you had told me this was Bjorling, I would believe you. The timbre of the voice bears a striking resemblance in this, and several other, Patzak recordings. Also the technique and style are quite similar. Patzak can very well stand on his own merits, however. Thanks for another wonderful post, Aaron.

  • You're welcome, glad you enjoyed!

  • Lovely and sweet voice. This recording is a wonderful rendition of this aria. (And yes, I like it better than the Kaufmann's which is posted on youtube - it is the right timbre for this Mozart role). Patzak has a wonderful technique and a delightful way of reaching the high notes - effortless and with wings :))

  • Exceptional! ... maybe it's, only Schiotz ... who's even better, overall. ... Just an opinion.

  • This and Simoneau's version (in Italian) are my favorite recordings of this lovely cavatina. Many thanks for posting.
