This is my newest rendition of my demo reel after anoher semester of school. I'm pretty proud of it. So I hope you guys like it and I hope it inspires you to create even more amazing things. Enjoy.

What specs will I need to make something this quality??

I want my skill to be the limiting factor and not the hardware!!

I have Nvidia gts 250

8 gig ram

AMD Phenom 8450 triple core. 2.1 GHZ

Is this good enough?

Hardware is usually not the limiting factor, I'm animating effects on a 1st gen MacBook Pro. Your specs are more then adequate.

So like... you animate with several programs and not just one? (sry if I'm wrong, still learning ;) )

Some programs gravitate to certain specialties. Like Maya has a strong rigging set up and Houdini has a strong Effects setup. Realflow mainly does liquid particle sims. If you just now learning 3ds Max or Maya would be a great starting point, as they both cover a wide range of fields and they have great documentation.

amazing!!!!!! Is that cartoony film anywahere for viewing? looks like it has some great animation.

The cat film is finished and will be available for online viewing later this fall. The clips at the end are from a short film called "Rock in the Road" which is currently still in production.

Hey mate, I really love the animation of the cat, especially the run cycle. I read in the comments that the short with the cats is finished - mind pointing me to the viewing online, if it still exists? (i also read the comment's 2 years old ^^)
