Stuttering is a speech disorder overtly characterized by sound, word or phase repetitions, phoneme prolongations and postural fixations that impedes the natural flow of speech. This video demonstrates stuttering inhibition via shadow speech techniques. Shadow speech is when a second speaker leads or lags the person who stutters during the verbal production of an utterance. As noted in the video, shadow speech is thought to be one of the most powerful stuttering inhibitors known.
I thought Delayed Auditory Feedback isn't really effective until I watched this. If you think about it, the concept behind DAF is the same as Shadow Speech.
