Brian Boitano's long program. He attempted a quad and failed to land a triple axel but finishing 2nd here in the long was enough to make him win the championships. The video includes the warm-up of the last group of men.

  • Yes there were a few seconds of music edited out from the Calgary version.

  • Very quick thinking - last minute, adding Triple Lutz, double toe. Was this planned or was it to replace the axel he singled earlier? Skaters in those days could think on their feet and adapt, unlike nowadays where every movement and jump is scored separately. Great performance - not as good as Calgary but this night definitely belonged to Orser.

  • Gutsy ending.

  • Hmm, no, there was definitely a new music edit at 3:15 where the flip usually was

  • i think it was to make room for ths quad he put in place of the triple axel combination at the beginning of the program

  • Except Orser.

  • I agree with you on that! There will never another Brian Boitano

  • Still my favorite male skater of all time.
