This was my dance for the worldwide Butoh Flower Dance Flashmob in Honor of Kazuo Ohno on October 27th, 2010 when Kazuo Ohno would have been 104 years old. I chose to use a tissue paper flower that my mother made and gave to me before she died in 1992, because of its significance to me. I danced at 10am here in NY and played a song by Riley Lee called "Moon Flower". Thank you, Kazuo Ohno, for having been in this world to share your spirit with us through dance, and therefore inspiring us to share ours.
