One of my favorites ... there's also a beautiful rendition on iTunes by Seán Tyrrell himself. T'would be hard put to find a singer more capable of aching out the plaintive sound of heartbreak and loss ... to accompany the lamenting pipes. Thanks for sharing!

@MacTireMhaighEo that was a brilliant doccumentary, fairplay to RTE for finally making a prog about travellers and for travellers that was both interesting and truthful> id love to see one about traveller musicians, the likes of the Felix and Johny Doran, the MacCarthys and Connors etc. Check out Tommy MacCarthys debut cd "Round Top Wagon" its A1.

just to clarify people, when I first looked up this song_video on youtube there was loads of anti traveller comments which have been since removed, just in case anybody got the idea i was anti traveller, far from it, believe you, me. No chips here!!

Just listen to Sean Tyrell singing this beautiful song and appreciate it for what it is, stop hating and start learning for yourself about the things you profess to hate.
