    That's the cloth inside with the wire. A lot of headphones have that.

    I'm a beginner when it comes to these things. But I have the right side of my ipod headphone's wires snapped off and one of the wires looked fuzzy. Would a sauder gun be able to fix such a problem such as how you demonstrated using that to connect the wires to the speakers.
