@Anestheticum ; I figured it out.... you have to get thet rubber thing off around the rim of it... & Then the cornerish edge thing youll see... pry that open with a small ear phone
-
sooooo that "reeeallly small thing is called a jack", im really surprised that you knew how to do this but have little knowledge of what their names where lol
-
@amelz118 Pretty much you just have to use a soldering iron.. Not a whole lot else you could use.

@SONYElectronic It all comes down to you - if the apple headphones work for you, then fine. I personally HATE the apple-style ones that just sit in your ear. They fall out super-easily, and you really have to crank the sound up in order to hear anything, and everyone else can hear it then too. The ones with the shroom ends isolate the sound, letting you hear your music at lower levels, and not blasting music for everyone to hear. They also stay in nice, too.

Soldered my Koss Porta Pros to the earbud's white cables. Worked like a charm, thanks a lot! for your tutorial!

-
lol Dumbass people. He did that to keep the mic and remote.
Why the fuck do people hate the original earbuds? I like them. They are comfortable and fit perfect. I hate the ones that have that rubber thing on them (Idk what they are called but its the ones the he put on) because they dont fit and I try all sizes and they still fall out!

is it absolutely necessary to use a soldering iron?

After watching this video I replaced my Etymotic er-6i's with an iPhone cord. Now I have my ipod controls and a microphone. Pretty simple too, in fact I think I may go this route with all my headphones.
