  • The crowning touch is woven skillfully into the final scene as it cuts between Thomas and Vicky and four dimensions of conscience that eliminates distance between them; their true natures are beautifully expressed after testing each others hearts for metal of character or corruption. Truly 60s movie making at its best.

  • @MrBobthornton Whoa!!!!! Astounding analysis.

  • I bought the original soundtrack maybe 20 years ago in a recordshop in soho (accidentally marked 3 quid) , always loved this track.

  • It took me almost a year to find this soundtrack. Because no one had it for sale anywhere even ebay. So i lucked up and found it one day.

  • This movie influenced the world....plus possibly the best music outro ever.

  • @MrBobthornton Thank you, Only Norman Jewison could have put any better...maybe not.

  • @iknowwhereyoulive006 Watching Steve McQueen smile was the icing on top of the cake for me. Classic moment.

  • @hebneh. Yes, I remember... Such an influence his role in that film was on me at age19. In his personal life, McQueen had not the sophistication & refinement he sought to display in the role. Nonetheless, and probably for that very reason, he was highly motivated to demonstrate his ability to carry off the part successfully. He wanted it to be his Crowning achievement. I loved it. This music was also used in the second robbery scenes orchestrated to test the character played by Faye Dunaway

  • @MrBobthornton... thats mettle

  • "You said it was YOUR funera....?!"

    "Are you Miss Vicky?"

  • It does match the film, the ending isn't it... Remarkable, distinguished and pre-eminent... Thank you

  • great song, thanks for posting it!
