The Greek social dance- style tsiftetelli gradually evolving into more performative modern bellydance.
Athena enjoys teaching tsifteteli at festivals and seminars around the world, expanding and informing dancers' appreciation for Greek history and music, and allowing students to access their self-expression and improvisational talents.
Greek Tsiftetelli may seem like a less-specific, less-technical style of bellydance, but in its subtlety lies its gift....Tsiftetelli is a dance for all ages and abilities....
In Athena's tsiftetelli workshops, basic history and cultural significance is outlined, highlighting the roots and connections within tsiftetelli dance, rebetiko music and its evolution within Greek communities.
Music is explored, instrumentation, lyrics, and eras of music is enjoyed and dance elements expressed in dynamic variety....
The dance techniques and Improvisational tools Athena offers are the key element to grasping the core of tsiftetelli performance...

Auth einai ena theatrika ekfrasei....diko mou styl tsifteteli. Opws grafei sto description katw apo video. Yia "ektos" rhythmo....to sound track, kai to audio sto dvd then einai sync...alla prospathisa na fiaksw...mipos den katafera toso! :)
