If someone is against homosexuality, whatever, they have that right, but when they try to ban gay marriage, they are imposing their views on others, which is wrong.

Prop 8 is a freaking joke. Gay marriage doesn't kill people or take away other people's rights. It's simply prejudice which still lives in America to this day. America is still full of hatred and is still hypocritical.
Religion can be good for you, I suppose. However, when religion gets in the way of people living their daily lives, that is a problem.
America is hardly separation of Church and State. The people that vote are stupid for letting their religious beliefs get in the way of others.

Your comment has got to be the stupidest one I have ever seen.
When prop 8 fails you will still have the right to hate anyone you want.
Your bigotry will still be intact. Just look at the south. Some still hate black people.

Gay marriage is intended as a forceful way to make the moral accept what is immoral. The darkness hates the light, and so fights against it. Mobs came out against the disciples simply because they spoke the truth. They were murdered for speaking the truth- ALL HATE. And that is what this is now. It is hate for the light, hate for morality, and hate for yourselves. Do you know what God will do if we see this pass?

just want to say this must pass! if not, our churches will be sued for not alowing gays to marry in them. keep your partnership and legal stuff but marrige is ordained of God between a man and a woman leave that alone!

You are miss-informed or a liar. A Catholic church will not marry as atheist couple. A Mormon church will not marry a Catholic couple. A marriage in your church is a religious sermon. And that is protected in the constitution. Thats why your church will or not marry anyone they wish.
Marriage in the eyes of the law is what prop 8 is about. Vote NO on prop 8.

The problem with your argument randy - "that religion has nothing to do with marriage in the eyes of the law" is the one that is flawed. This country was founded on Judeo/Christian principles. Therefore, our culture and our laws reflect that principle. Your second argument, that - "marriage in the eyes of the govt. is a legal contract and not a religious bond" if taken as correct, would beg the question as to why not then leave the current law of civil unions in place.

I dont really need to quote what the constitution says about religion do I? Look it up. This country is based on the freedom to believe in any thing you wish. But you cannot impose those beliefs on to others. And that what prop 8 wants to do.
And as for civil unions Separate but equal is NEVER equal. That what the law says.
Do some research before you speak next time. It will make you sound less like a moron.
