@krzhizhanovsky ummm, that's very introspective of you. i think there is more to the national than that. I have never thought of them that way, but to each his own, and i respect your opinion. glad you like them too.

They actually came to Moscow this Summer and I read an interview they gave in the The Exile, but at that point I'd never heard of them and just assumed that they were another droning listless indie band. After listening to Boxer, I regret not having listened to them earlier, I think their music is the soundtrack to every man whose in the twilight of his youth, eye to eye with both his mortality and the fact that there is no reset button in life, the current flows one way. Simply brilliant.

Incredible performance! Really pisses me off when people say Matt is a terrible singer, he is phenomenal! his songwriting is so original! The National are a fresh breath of air in these musically dull times!
