Wasn't very impressed. I realize it's Class D but still it's the national championship. Must just be because i hang around C and B class players. I don't like the rules of these tournaments either. I prefer the 2 strike 3 balls and has to hit the plate/mat. These guys getting 2 throw away swings to try and paint the line then go at it for real...

im guessing 280 ft. We are going to nationals for ASA modified fast pitch. Is there any vids for that, i cant find any. AT 13:57 he says bitch lol

ejmatzell...actually, they are using a 52 core ball with 600 compression and guarantee the bats are altered that they are swinging for the home run deby...

you both are right... if you look at videos from the usssa tourny with guys like rusty bumgardner and such... they're hitting bombs on a major league size field (330' down the lines). rusty hit one 540 ft. in the home run derby this year. on the contrary, this field is no bigger than 300 ft. most aren't bigger than 315. however, softballs are usually a 44 core, much softer than a baseball. so really, the size of the field doesn't matter.

how big are most of the fields these games are played on??
