  • @35diamondgirl ... I am so glad this performance at the Rock & Roll HOF

was so good. When Bill hugged Bobby at 3:03 (seen better on the big screen)

Bobby got a big smile on his face. They had performed this song so many times -

and before everyone - they nailed it. I am so thankful to YOUTUBE for

keeping this video up for all to see. I have noted that many people much

younger than eye - truly appreciate GREAT SINGERS. They'll never be a

    duo such as these two.

  • @35diamondgirl ... Bill Medley puts on a GREAT show. You'll enjoy every moment.

In Branson, MO. he did a video/slide show of Bobby - not a dry eye in the house.

Bill lost his voice in the early 70's - but his voice coach helped him get it back. Bobby,

told me, "people want to hear me hit the high notes - and the later in the day the

better." One night they did two shows, in between - I sneak back stage and play

catch with Bobby - it kept him loose as he sipped lemon juice.

  • @juvenilehall1979 Yes, I've watched "Lovin' Feeling" from Shindig many times. Besides having such powerful and dynamic vocals, they are, visually, very charismatic performers. All the Shindig clips are just plain fun to watch.

  • @juvenilehall1979 Yes, I've heard/read that from many people, which is probably why their fan base has been so loyal for so long--because their live performances were special and they themselves were/are special and approachable. I'm sorry I never had the pleasure of seeing them perform together, but I'm looking forward to seeing Bill in a few weeks.

  • I remember Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil doing an interview - and they never

imagined how popular their song would end up being. The Righteous Brothers

went in and made this song a monster hit. I am so glad that they choose

this song at their long overdue 2003 Hall of Fame induction. Catch Bill and

Bobby on Shindig sing it live - GREAT. Bill's voice, just perfect and Bobby, he

hit notes so high, with such ease it made everyone think - nobody, but nobody

could sing like that. Both just 24.

  • @35diamondgirl .. Hello .. Yes, Darlene Love was one of the Blossoms. It was a great time to be a teenager with Shindig and Where The Action Is.

The Righteous Brothers were the right duo at just the right time - with the BEST

songs. The secret to their success was: They were both great singers - as a duo

or solo, their "live" performances were just as good if not better than the studio

records. They were always gentlemen and no fan ever left without a signed photo.

    God Bless 'em

  • @juvenilehall1979 Thanks for sharing that story...totally jealous. I've seen the Shindig clips of the Blossoms singing with The Righteous Bros., and they're terrific. Darlene Love was in the Blossoms, right?

  • @35diamondgirl ... The Righteous Brothers ... they just stood out, they bought food for us

kids trying to act cool ... and I told Bobby when I got older - "you dudes were wearing sunglasses at night - and looked so cool.... singing in the moonlight." He just

    laughed and smiled.

standing in the parking lot at John's Drive-In ... singing to the crowd .... I believe this might

be where they hooked up with the Blossoms .. because they started to sing with Bobby and

    Bill. Great memories !!!

  • @juvenilehall1979 Bill thanking the Hall of Fame was incredibly gracious too, I thought, considering they'd been disappointed and even angry about the politics and being passed over for so many years. I would've loved to have seen them as early as '62...alas, I was only a year old and lived clear across the country. I remember Shindig though.
