  • @listok08 - no... It might be possible to order them from the U.S. - but you'd have to pay them yourself... It's too expensive... I hope to find a doc who's willing to try this combination of T3 and T4. The last doc has never heard of it and refused to prescribe it... A pharmasist told me that in former times it was normal to get a combination. I feel terribly tired, totally inactive... Incredible that docs ignore that.To try a combination - it's harmless but could give me back my social-life...

  • Here in Germany we don't have natural thyroid hormones. I took T4 for several years but didn't feel much better ... Now I heard about a combination of both T4 and T3. I will try to find a doc who's willing to prescribe that. MD's here in Germany don't take this illness seriously. The pharmacy nearby has never heard of this combination. Hard to realize that patients are better informed than docs and pharmacies. My thyroid is getting smaller and smaller. But I don't have antibodies in the blood.

  • @leehallstringer thanks for input

  • I am a recovered fibromyalgic who had to leave the medical profession to discover the simple cause and holistic cure without drugs. There are things that help but do not cure this condition, and symptoms can be mistaken as the cause. Please do not give up from failed hope and keep going!!!

  • @philippaabuhamad Since consuming anything containing pork is against your religion, I would suggest that you talk with your Doctor about possibly still having you take Levothyroxine (synthetic T4 medication) along with a small dose of Cytomel (synthetic T3 medication). But you need to work with your Doctor to see if this is the right way for you, and to determine the dose. I suggest you get lab tests for FT4, FT3 and TSH every time you get labs.

  • what is the natural cure for HYPERTHYROID ?? I will like to learn more about the hyper if anybody knows I will be very thankful

  • I would like to ask what happens when It's against your religion to eat anything from a pig. Even if after taking levothyroxine symptoms continue.....what then?

  • I am sorry - But as a thyroid patient for several years, I can ASSURE you that Synthroid and Levoxyl does not work for everyone. I suffered a great deal due to these meds and felt like a new person when I was switched to Armour. It is devastating that Armour changed their ingredients and is now no longer in production. I am back on Levoxyl (as is my family) and we are miserable....The "natural" approach definitely worked better.

  • Armour thyroid is naturaul..... if you're a pig. Sorry nikolauhull, synthroid is not "bad", but neither is Armour. Dr. Langer is incorrect by saying the conversion of T4 to T3 happens in the liver. In fact it occurs intracellularly after the cell has take up the prohormone. Synthroid and Levoxyl will work for any- and everyone, but only at the correct dose! Please don't think the most commonly prescribed thyroid supplement (T4) is unsuafe or does not work because that is simply untrue.

  • Go to the Save Natural Thyroid site and fight to save natural thyroid. Sign our petition to keep the FDA from banning this important drug. The synthetics like Synthroid or Levoxyl do not work for many who suffer from hypothyroidism.
