Never before seen footage. A fiery performance by Randy Hansen a world renowned Jimi Hendrix imitator/emulator. Hendrix was from Seattle as is Randy. This was an incredible set, here's a sample with some very wild antics to boot.

  • C'mon man have some class...

  • "Ha ha - good laugh! Another Hendrix clone."

Nothing funny here. FYI, Randy Hansen is not just "another Hendrix clone." He is THE number ONE "Hendrix clone," so much so that he has gained official recognition from the Hendrix family. That and many more musical accomplishments throughout his long musical career. Do a web search and you'll SEE!

No, Randy Hansen is NOT just "another Hendrix clone."

  • Right On Frankie!

And, Randy is from Seattle, like Hendrix. I can't tell ya how much I dug this show, I wish I could've taped his entire set.

  • i play jazz.. and playing other peoples music is essential.. the beatles covered 500 plus tunes back in the day..before they got huge.. people just dont realize ya gotta pay your dues to shit that came before if ya have any hope of creating a new voice for yourself..

  • Sometimes one becomes so into the powerful aura created by an artist that the must, must do everything possible to replicate it and live the life. Randy is incredible and believes in what he does. What help to whine about someone else doing something wonderful and giving you the opportunity to come damn close to seeing an artist you will never see again? Blues-based music, jazz and classical are full of artists famous for "doing" others' material. Be happy. Great guy and phenomenal musician.

  • @Frank4268 YEAH...PLUS Randy plays his very, very own style...for me one truly outstanding artist, as Jimmy would be alive. Has nothing to do with "cloning" he's just an "animal" of art, tone and SOUL!! If someone doesn't get this it is hard to help ;-)

  • @Funkatronical you call this shit?? come on man he made the changes for you to play now other wise you would still be playing sloopy which is also part from hendrix

  • hehehe, great.. the best guitarist today

  • I saw Randy in '77 at the Maui Bell (bar) in Lahaina. Yes, he is the best.

  • increible !

me encantaría poder verlo en vivo !

muchos giles solo se enfocan en el aspecto técnico de hendrix pero olvidan lo principal ... la música de hendrix aparte de la increible técnica era más que todo PASION !!!

y este músico lo tiene todo !!

    thnks for this post !

    randy is the best !!

  • 3:08 - 4:16 That's why there's Fender Squier!

  • first and foremost, try to find another cat covering this blistering genius'music.

you wont.randy plays with alot of intensity, and power and love for the guitar.

give him credit, since no one has the balls to get up there in front of many rocknroll fans and play hendrix music.the comment i just read is uncalled for, this guy rips it for all of us since jimi has moved on.maybe we will see you in the next world, and dont be late!

  • I like Randy Hansen! The world desperately misses Jimi, and while he is not Jimi, he captures some of that spirit and vibe. Easily the best Jimi tribute, hands down. And he is a great player!

  • @grandchamp1on1 A Jimi want to be, & the Hendrix family did not give a dam about Jimi till he became a star. Other than his father. Now they fight over his money''''

  • @Frank4268 So true - I've seen Randy numerous times, starting in the early 80's up at WWU and around Seattle since, even at tiny Big Daddy's out in Woodinville. He is indisputably the next best thing to seeing Jimi. Really, he has done a huge favor for all of us who never got to see the real thing. And, he writes some great music of his own. Rock on Randy!
