Not bad. Ordered one today. Better than spending the extra £100+ and a tariff on top

These MiFi work really well if you live say in Manchester city centre. Surprisingly reliable and fast when on the HSPDA mode. Otherwise, be careful.

@danhilton95 both i think, something like £70 for pay as you go, comes with 3GB of data, then theres £40 pay monthly

Good video. But is the mifi a one-time purchase or is there an amount you have to pay each month? And is there a limit to how much you can use ?

@danhilton95 Yup exactly what @BenJEMean said! You can get it on both. There's a new model of the MiFi out now too.

Excellent review and overview. You have exactly the same setup as me, and this has convinced me to go for the iPad WiFi only, with 3 MiFi. One question, what is the range of the MiFi device? i.e.: How close does it need to be to your iPad to pick up a wireless signal?

Also, what is the approx battery life?
Thanks.

@paneightconsulting Not sure, didnt really put that test down. I used it for several hours, which I'm guessing is near the limit. I can't find the spec sheet online now, as they've released an update to the hardware.

@paneightconsulting Within the same average sized room I'd say - didn't test it past that range and the signal was still strong. If i get the new unit from Three to review I'll be sure to test.
