  • I think it's sad that people don't realise the complete impact Bunnings can have on local businesses. Everyone goes to Bunnings, the local hardware stores close down, no more competition, therefore bunnings can raise their prices to wahtever they want, they're the only hardware shop around. Local businesses are where you get variety, different prices (some cheaper, some more expensive) and overall BETTER SERVICE. Trust me on that one. Local businesses also do trade and senior discounts.

  • I now always go to the Local True Value or Mitre10 where you actually get service with someone who knows what your talking about and a smile,

  • some off the staff know what their talking about, the other 90% redirect you to that person :)

  • If bunnings didnt expand.. someone else would of.. isnt that your goal when you open up a shop?

  • @musicvidbuff1 Okay thanks for the correction.

  • @ProphetOfTheTeapot Bunnings is actually owned by Wesfarmers.Wesfarmers own coles, officeworks, bunnings & a whole lot more. Woolworths have just recently opened the first of a chain of home improvement/hardware stores called Masters to compete directly with Bunnings. Some of the Masters stores are opening with 1km of Bunnings. I work for the independents & so far we haven't been heavily affected as we offer great service.

  • @ItzSmiiHomeBoy Bunnings is run by Woolworths, so buying from them is also what gives you high prices in every other Woolies chain, and they have heaps. We need to have more than just Woolies and Coles running everything otherwise we just get shit service with high prices.

  • Also others commenting on their prices going up and down did you ever fucking consider the fact that the stock doesn't come for fucking free it cost money too and don't blame your shitty problems from bunnings on the team members blame it on yourself for being an inconsiderate arse does no one ever think before they bitch fuck me right

  • Madman you must just be stuck with the shit jobs because you are too mentally disabled to do the normal things plus if you don't like it go get a job somewhere else idiot, there's no point working somewhere if you hate or dislike it depresses ones self

  • Woolworths competition for Bunnings is a store called Masters there stock quality is better than Bunnings but their service is horrible it's like trying to talk to a stick and they know nothing about their products which makes it pointless to shop there if you need advice or information on how to do something, it's similar at bunnings but at least some of the "team members" actually have a clue what their talking about.........I think I've made a point.

  • I actually work for bunnings and I can tell you that it's a shit job.

  • Good old Wesfarmers.

  • @SimPeace24 well yeah but they do have lots of stock. We used to go to mitre 10 but they hardly ever have what we need.,,,

  • Even worst for small business is safeway is bringing out a chain of hardware warehouses to challenge bunnings.
