Last night of the Sussex bonfire season, November 2008. Bonfire is a very loud, smoky, friendly celebration of light and liberty, and is linked to the November 5th celebrations. It goes on throughout the autumn in Sussex, south-east England. The flaming crosses are to celebrate the Sussex martyrs (see wikipedia for more).
But five stars for putting up with the yokel accents!
