Your right but she's something else to watch don't you think. She can play the hell out of that fiddle my friend. Of Course she is of Cajun descent. I know this because I know her and her parents very well.

I first saw her at a mardi gras ball about 8 or 9 years ago. No one knew Amanda Shaw from the man in the moon. She couldn't have been older than 12. She put on an amazing one (wo)man show even then. She's incredibly talented with that bow.

Today I asked Amanda Shaw herself what the name of this song is and she said it is "One-Legged McGee" but that the band nicknamed it "Spas" or "Spazz."

In one comment one person said it was "Spas." I haven't verified that but have no reason to doubt it.

Amanda will be playing outside at the Bradfordville Blues Club in Tallahassee, FL again on Sunday, May 18th. Opening act is the bluegrass band, The Bottom Dollar Boys. Show starts @ 5PM
