Those lyrics are so touching - she shows that to give a child wings to fly through harmony as exquisitely as she does, gives to the listening world around her, the most priceless gift. For a moment, she creates an aura that I wish could be harnessed to create more peace in the world.

@brummieInAmerica It's township of Mofolo. A township in Soweto, South Africa. But you are right in the album it says tuscon,arizona. I guess when they were touring Africa they just thought it would be better to put Mofolo.

I have seen another version on YouTube performed in an outside stadium in Africa. I was sure I had heard Miriam Makeba sing: "I said take this child, lord/From the township of Marpolo (sic)/" But the original lyrics actually say take the child from tucson, arizona. I haven't listened to THIS version yet, but it will be interesting to hear if she adapts the lyrics to reflect this location too.
