What YOU do is the following:

You eliminate freely elected leaders (secretly like in Iran (1953) or publicly like in Iraq (2006) -> then you put in a corrupt puppet -> you offer large amounts of money -> and demand a crude interest -> you put the country into debt -> then demand privatization of state property -> then you bring in your global companies and exploit their resources.

Learn how money is created and you will see that America couldn't care less about the world, in fact, all they do abroad is making money, exploiting work forces and stealing resources. No offense. @garybsg have you ever noticed that on most vids concerning the wars, 911, and pretty much anything of importance that certain people live on these sights in shifts and seem very knowledgable/authoritarian. its because some are paid to sway public opinion. like i say , most is not always as it seems. there is alot of junk but if you are interested in something you need to check thoroughly

No country on earth has fought more for freedom than America including Vietnam(tried to prevent communism), Japan and Germany(we defeated and freed and are our allies now), South Korea(our ally) we freed from communist North Korea which is starving.
