This is just a quick review on the Oakley Flak Jackets | Polished Root Beer with VR28 Black Iridium Polarized and G20 Black Iridium lenses. This is actually a video response to Ostore690, and just wanted to discuss how they fit and the differences between the Asian and Standard fit versions. I wanted to also apologize to everyone about all the coughing in the past few videos. I've been sick lately so I apologize. Enjoy!

Also wanted to give a shout out to dthombs. He is a huge part of the Oakley Review site, which is probably the most informative site. Here is a link to his youtube page, and also O-Review!

  • Can you tell me something? I'm just now getting into sunglasses and this is confusing. What differentiates this pair from the jawbones or the tens? They all look the same to me!1

  • @soulweaponry Oakley has a ton of different pairs that are categorized into different styles. The main termonology they use is Lifestyle, Sport Specific, X Metals, and Others. Most Lifestyle frames are made out of O Matter, which is like plastic but 10x stronger. The X Metal's are on a whole different page, and sport specific frames are usually plastic as well. Main difference though are the actual designs.

  • @jliverty When I smile, they actually touch my cheeks as well at times. I've actually gotten used to it. As long as they don't sit on my cheeks normally, I'm ok, and if I smile, they shouldn't get knocked off or move around at all. Does this mean you need Asian Fit? I think that depends on your own taste. If you are uncomfortable or bothered by them touching your cheeks, I would try on some other models. Try bigger nose bombs as well for the sport/active frames. They usually do the trick!

  • Standard fit me okay as well. But biggest difference with the Asian Fit was I could finally wear XLJ lenses. I use the yellow XLJ lenses for trap shooting.

  • @Liist Yeah! Same. Even with the larger nosebombs, they still were somewhat uncomfortable for me. The Asian Fit seems to push them up a little more. Crazy how that tiny little difference makes or breaks the fit.
