Right shoulder was scoped and fixed mid 12/2009, and today I was finally able to get this move back - thankful I'm the only one home today as my goofy whoops of glee certainly startled the dogs... hoping the neighbors didn't hear! This is a very satisfying move. :) Thanks again, sharnarose. Best wishes to you.

sharnarose, forgot to come back and tell you - I finally got it thanks to your video. :D Great therapy after left shoulder therapy, incidentally. Unfortunately, right shoulder has gotten cranky so can't do this now until it gets fixed, but am working around it in the meantime. Incidentally, I like the song you chose. Hoop on.

So glad that I could help you in any way possible. Happy hooping, dancing, singing and laughing your way to joy :-)

Hi SharnaRose
Thank you for this tutorial but I am still not getting it right. When I lift from the back the hoop slows down so much that it hits the back of me: how so you grab & keep the momentum without spinning around with the hoop(smaller hoop...?) thank you for your tutorials though: i have watched this one over & over lol

You have probably got this by now...I am so Sorry that it has taken me this long to reply. I am bit lame (as last reply :-)) I recommend squatting slightly and moving body the way you lift...i.e if you lift to the right then duck and move to the right as you lift...hope this helps:-)

I saw this when I first got interested in adult hooping maybe a year ago, was baffled how you do it - okay, I am spatially challenged!!! - so chalked it up to magic and work of elves, and moved on with my life. Now I swear I am going to work on it and get it, and this vid is going to be my best bud until I get it down, and I actually got one-half turn out of it a few minutes ago, so I'm already doing a happy dance ;-) Thanks, sharnarose. Your vid is still helping newbies. :-D
