Historian Bernard Lewis explained that the Arabs, in Nazi Germany's classification, shared the inferiority ascribed by Nazi ideology to the Jews, references to their inferiority were expressed from time to time, such as slurs – in a August 1939 speech by Hitler – on the peoples of the Middle East, among other non-Europeans, as "painted half-apes, who want to feel the whip." Hitler's description of Arabs as "half apes." has been well publicized.

Despite the cooperation and association of some Arabs with the Nazis, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis considered the Arabs to be an inferior race. As the Führer had racist objections to Arabs, he declined to shake the Mufti's hand (in their 1941 meeting) and refused to drink coffee with him.

@sceptiquele Hitler started like a wrong christian and finished like a anti-christian.

Wait, I thought Palestinians didn't exist? I heard that on TV.

In fact modern anti-Semitism - like modern nationalism - was an import from Europe. But there thousends of examples of anti-semitic violonce in this thime in arab regions far away from palestine! Don't blame victims for the crimes committed against them!

I agree with the responsibilty of Palestinans anti-Semites for their alliance with nazis, but that's no reason to blame islam as a religion. Don't forget taht Hitler was a christian and that ss-soldiers had to swear to god, that both churches in Germany got a lot of privileges under nazi-rule (and most of them are official until today) and that the vatican helped hundreds of nazi-criminals to escape to south america after the war.
When Palestine was under British occupation, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was a position appointed by the British Mandate authorities.

Don't forget Stern and his friends from the "EtZel"- Jewish terrorist organization who also met with nazis...Britain was an Enemy of both the Palestinians, The Zionists and Germany.

@snoopon
Stern Gang and Irgun were never accepted by the vast majority of Israelis, the Haganah was, under Ben Gurion, which only acted in Self Defense, so thanks for mentioning it, but the Jews never turned to terror en masse even when their existence was at stake!
