That clearly states that Model Editing is Illegal. However, there's NO WAY that Blizzard can track this, except if they're 'falling' over your character. The model edit is clientside, which means, that for everyone else than you, your character will be floating in the air.
I've now been there 9 times, and i've never even been close to a ban.
There's no nameplate on the Island; People can't see that you're there. They'll see:
1) That you're in The Great Sea
2) That you're nowhere
If you want to take a friend with you, he needs the files too.
For this glitch you need:
A 100% mount
Waterwalking in 15-20 minutes.
The entire glitch will take around a half hour. + -, depending on your speed.
If you have any questions, don't hestitate with asking.

That's what I believe. It's not easy to guess the motives of Blizzard, but I guess that this used to be a testing place for textures and models.

It is not there today, and it was not there when I made the movie. It was there around classic WoW; This model-edit put it back in-game.

And they eventually abandoned it and left it on a FAR away part of the online world (Azeroth) for someone like you to find xD
