Conventional lighting for magnification and photography in dentistry has proven to be compromised for accurate colour perception and intensity. POV is a revolutionary portable light source used by dental and medical professionals for illumination with magnification and photography. It provides the freedom and portability without compromising light intensity. POV provides exceptional brightness, far in excess of that which can be achieved with other portable light systems and it is colour corrective. Uniquely portable, POV can be belt or Velcro mounted, enabling non-restrictive freedom of movement and comfort for the operator. It is the first portable light source to offer an intensity of light that is equivalent to that of a table top unit. POV light guide is compatible with all leading magnification loupes, via bespoke clip design. The POV portable light source is used in conjunction with a uniquely designed Bi-Lateral light and Lens attachment. It can be attached (magnetically) to any conventional SLR camera lens. The lens enables close value assessment of the subject and allows operators to clearly see the features and characteristics that are essential for true and accurate reproduction. The linear lens produces a greater spread of consistent light together with shadow elimination. Unlike conventional photographic flash lighting, which is momentary and can reproduce flattening of the image, POV allows the user to see the intended subject before taking the picture.
