  • Altough Mr. Gough proposed these platforms for tyre testing back in the fifties, they just started recently to appear in the industry since their kinematics is one open hard problem. Advantage: very rigid thus you can either reach high accelerations (limited by the bandwidth of linear axes) or run them with smaller motors needing less torque and power.

  • @demotricus fuel tank test - it can run various shapes & baffle configurations of clear tanks through the equivalent of a "standard" road circuit for days, but you can see exactly how your changes alter the flow & contain any leaks easier.

  • interesting. I used to work in flight simulation. This is commonly called a "Six Degree" Motion platform. They use them a lot on the Level 3 simulators. They're really not all that new. I worked on a 747-200 sim that used to be in Totowa NJ for an old airline (peoples Express) back in the mid 80's that was an early model 6 degree platform. They're pretty impressive to see work but even more impressive to see loose Hydraulic fluid on from a broken accumulator line hahahaha.

  • Can you rent one of these for a night? No questions asked?

  • Very expensive!!! Any hydraulic platform needs a lot od equipment, pumps, coolers valves etc. This thing likely costs well over $10.000

  • The sex must be great

  • 0.46 Drinks mixer? :-)

    HI Guy,

We build hexapod systems and can likely help you with the software or design issues if you would like.

  • where can i go about getting this system....i have the hydraulics but i don't know where to get the computer control system. im kinda in the dark about building this system.........any help would be very much apreciated

  • wooooow that looks amazingly smoooooth
