Can this do everything a MPC can?
-
Would love to try one one day. Using the MP now.
-
uugh this all seems so complicated for my first drum machine ill just stick to the akai xr20
-
@iMoZProductions false, the limited memory and bit rate of older samplers does give the resulting tune a distinctly "grimy" feel
-
@Fagottron MPC is more technical. SP is more on the fly that's why so many bands use it for stage.
-
@UrbanCrunkMovement panda bear.
assumably from animal collective
-
@Fagottron yep. if you wanna get into the high numbered sp's they all go hand in hand with a computer. the sp's are a little cheaper than the mpc's. but the mpc's ar a stand alone machine and you dont gotta mess with the computer. which i like. the workflow is easy with both of them. some say tht mpc's give a more grimey feel to your music, but when you think about it, its just a machine in which you input music to, you can use the effects givin, but its not gonna naturally give a grimey feel
-
@Bandy500 you can assign volume individually
-
Hmm, still deciding between the Akai MPC and the Roland SP range. Thoughts from anyone who's used both?
-
can you change individual samples volume level? or just main output only.
otherwise all your samples have to be balanced before use, making it hard to live sample stuff?
if this was a broke mans mpc madlib and panda bear wouldnt be so fond of it now would they?
