This video explains how to connect a motorhome to a mains electricity supply using the hook-up cable. Usually, this will be at a campsite, but if you wish to connect a motorhome to a residential power supply, you will need an adapter to allow the blue and orange motorhome cable to be attached to a standard mains plug socket.

How To Hook Up A Motorhome To An Electricity Supply

Step 1: Locate the orange and blue hook-up cable
Step 2: Attach one end to the electricity supply
Step 3: Locate and open the motorhome electricity cap
Step 4: Plug the hook-up cable into the motorhome
Step 5: Use motorhome electricity (e.g. lights, television)
Step 6: Unplug and store cable when finished

  • of course the engine trick is also good if there's no hook-up available (run the engine to charge vehicle battery)
