Seborrheic Dermatitis: Me and my twin sister had this condition. It started in high school. We would use barbie pins to scrap the scales off. Guess what, I don't have it any more. My dermatogist prescribed Derma-Smoothe/FS which worked for a bit - removed the scales and inflammation. Then it stopped working months later - it removed the inflammation but not the scales. THEN, I began to oil my scalp with virgin olive oil. Before I wash my hair, I de-scale my scalp, then I wash my hair, then I oil my scalp with VOO using a color applicator bottle, and massage it in for 5 minutes. I oil my scalp also between wash days every night (I wash hair every 3 days) I also switch out the oil I use every month. I have 4 oils I use in my routine. VOO, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, and Shea butter - so my scalp does not get immune. I have not had Psoriasis for over 1 year now.

  • do you relax your hair?if so what relaxer do you use?

  • @gwyn247 I used to relax but haven't in over a year. I used Creme of Nature No-Lye Relaxer, Nourishing, Regular formula.

  • have you ever had discoloration arounf the hairline area, cause it does that to me

  • @LaBelle8887 Yes I used to get discoloration around the hairline; because of the intense peeling. I hated it especially because people used to look at my forehead and not my eyes when talking to me.

  • @SandraIndia did you ever find a way of getting the color back ?

  • @LaBelle8887 I didn't find a way per say. The color came back naturally on its own when the SD condition improved then went away completely. If you find a way to control the flaking, the natural effect is your skin layers growing back and your color reasserting itself. Try oiling your scalp daily with any natural oil. Organic coconut oil is great stuff. I just love it and it helps to keep the dryness and flaking away for me.

  • Great video and good to see you spreading the word. I recommended a product to a friend of mine for his SD which is actually an acne treatment and he says it has made a massive difference. It is a product from England called Teenage Dream by Mama Nature. It was great or my acne and as the symptoms of SD are similar I thought it may help him. It contains jojoba oil and tea tree oil and is all natural. I will spread the word also.

  • @msb9008 My dermatologist did help me as well.

  • Hi! I too suffer from seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp & I also have atopic dermatitis(eczema) of the skin. Recently I started having hair problems & I treated it as dandruff 'til I realized it was actually flakes of skin in my hair. I do have natural hair and sensitive skin so I have to be careful of what products I can use, but the extra virgin olive oil, T/Gel shampoo, & lavender shampoo/conditioner have worked miracles for me! My flakes are gone, my hair is growing, & looks much healthier.

  • Use no relaxers, go natural and use Tea Tree Oil blend and Tea Tree Shampoo for your hair and skin only. wwwdotback2eden-naturalsdotcom

  • Thanks for replying. i was natural but my hair grew and took more time i was so frustrated i started doing more harm than good.

  • @SandraIndia THANK YOU !!
