I MADE THIS ONE ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO. I MADE IT OUT OF DESPERATION FOR A RIDE TO WORK DURING A DOWN TIME OF MY CAR. IT SERVED ME WELL. I HAD A FRIEND WITH A MOTO SCOOTER AND HE CLOCKED ME AT 45 ON A LONG STRAIGHTAWAY. I KNEW I WAS GOING FAST, BUT I FIGURED IT WAS ABOUT 35 TO 40 MPH. THIS BIKE WAS A LITTLE SCARY AT TOP SPEED AND A LITTLE HARD TO STOP. I HAD TO PEDAL TO START OFF AND THEM DROP THE MOTOR FOR FRICTION DRIVE POWER ON THE WHEEL. IT TOOK A LITTLE GETTING USED TO. I WHEN ABOUT 5 MILES INTO TOWN AND BACK AGAIN ON A COFFEE CUP AND A HALF OF 2 STROKE FUEL. IT WAS REAL QUIET AT ABOUT 20 TO 25 MILES PER HOUR. I COULD SNEAK UP ON OTHER TEN SPEEDS AND FLY BY THEM. LOTS OF FUN.

  • What a build...do what ya gotta do when times are tough and ya need a ride quick.

  • @X92Exploder I NEED TO REBUILD THE CARBURETOR AND SHORTEN THE SQUARE TUBING. IT WEARS OUT THE SKATEBOARD WHEEL AFTER ABOUT A MONTH, BUT THE REAR TIRE SHOWS NO WEAR.

  • @muddymuddymuddmann

I figured the tire would wear out first.

  • @X92Exploder that's what i thought at first. but after 4 wheels and almost no sign of wear, i figured it out. the polyeurathane or what ever it is , is either not as durable as the tire or there is so much more tire surface to wear out on the tire. The ratio is 14 to one turns.

  • To tell you the truth , I dont know, I never tore it apart.

It was a stihl blower motor, if that helps

  • also does you engine have 1 main bearing or 2??

  • Ha Ha Ya but not as old as the bike or me!!! the peugot was pulled of the top of a scrap pile by a friend and given to me when times were hard. and the blower was in the trash a few days later. So I incorporated the 2 together so this old fossil could get around. I know I've put 1k miles on it plus some.

10 mile to work and 10 back on a 3 cup tank each day plus all the riding I did after work and days off for almost a year. 12 skateboard wheels and 2 tires. and no wet roads.
