  • thanks so much. I love these old clips. Sesame steet went into the toilet when Jim Henson died.

  • Amen. Even Elmo was a decent, likable character before Henson died; without the geniuses that made Sesame Street so memorable and fun to watch, the show lost direction and went out of control.

  • A Plesiosaurus... it's tremendous!

Having been on Sesame Street must have been a very exciting experience for you and your sister! I am very happy for you!

  • I liked the whale and dinosaur the best :)

  • I wonder where this sketch was filmed? I saw sand sculptures like that once on the beach in Lincoln City, Oregon.

  • Whoever did those enormous sand sculptures of a whale, shark, dinosaur, fish, etc. must've had amazing talent.

  • Wasn't there another film with kids making sand sculptures on the beach? This one involved a voice singing in the background. Is that one on YouTube, or does anyone have it?

  • Oooooh nostalgia city!

I remember watching this when I was five years old, but those kids...damn, soo talented. I couldn't make castles that big, and plus I was only one kid. :V

  • I've seen this clip when I was a child but never had enough sand and friends to make such sculptures. I really envied those talented kids. Thanks for posting.

  • I remember this one!

  • One of the best things about Sesame Street in the 1970's was that they didn't try too hard. When they make a clip like this they're not making some outrageous fantasy that they kids can't emulate.

    Now it's all overdone cartoons.
